We believe the most powerful stories are the ones we hear directly, from the people who lived them.
Movement On The Ground, together with COTAF, the Dutch Embassy in Greece, and with co-funding from the European Union, is proud to announce a Living Library exhibition at the Dutch embassy in Athens.
In honour of World Refugee Week, we focus on migrant inclusion through lived stories. This gathering brings together residents of our shelters, local citizens, and changemakers for an afternoon of open dialogue, empathy, and real connection.
The Living Library will be in the shape of a photo exhibition. The images capture five young residents of our refugee shelter for young adults in Athens, in collaboration with H.E. Ambassador Barbara Hellemond of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Through their own lens, they've documented their daily lives, their routines, their Athens.
This is what inclusion looks like in practice: not just policies, but people. Not just awareness, but action.
